It isn't enough falling a victim of circumstance, rather taking it too personal. The fact that to me it happened, doesn't guarantee redirecting; whining that it should have been somebody else all together.
Selfishness gets better side of us when we claim "why me?". Drains, it does to just scream out at calamities and supreme being why me. otherwise whom did you want befall the calamity anyway?just take it sacrificially and humble when misfortunes hit hard on you sirring our stomachs and accelerating the nervous.we may be deserving consequently or may be paying other people's sins.
Stop whining, start acting.solve the problem. accept however impossible it may seem. take you time . it brings best and faster healing however gradual it seems.
It beats logic times when while being corrected it becomes personal .And you hear, why did you pick up on me? you are not caring an don't see any good in me! Or maybe you hate me! I never did it, i swear!
C'mon.at times, it takes step of faith to correct someone. mostly smart friend want a better you-although not needfully a perfectionist , to make you know that you slipped. You ain't a victim! you being made better.

FRIDAY'S DIVISIONS, STRUGGLES AND CONSEQUENCES
Friday's night atmosphere in Moi university is an headache for mediocre groups as Christians busy themselves in a church service ,football fans cheer their teams and " dundas" fellows rock the student centre atmosphere.
Yesterday ,was just but a unique Friday. It wasn't "dunda", , it was grant for school of arts and social sciences .Students falling in this category were to showcase their talents. presentations on salsa dances ,different artists were given opportunities to present. and to crown it all was contest for Mr. and Miss
which one competition
MUSASS (Moi University School of Arts and Social sciences Student Association). This was where real master of modelling overshadowed everything. Real credit got its way to those who were red carpeted.
However ,something queer, what seem bad omen omen flushed in just as the event started. Sure enough it was the fella- blackout. whoops many "anti -dundas",who sleep early got into bed with empty stomachs.Consequently, invited guests; the dean of students and dean of host school failed to appear.
The christian union fellowship saw damn struggle for attention and concentration as the speakers from student centre out-competed theirs. At least you felt them screeching you ear drum and for once thought of going deaf.relief came at 9 am when lights when off and silence took over. At-least now its equal effort of human voices competing and artificiality and how disruptive you who may decide to be. the so called 'freedom of communication'.
Saturday always suffers Fridays hang over's- the injuries of broken bottles, fights, beer hangover, sleepless night , the list is long .It's learnt to be calm, kind and gentle enough to allow disrupted minds to collect up and once again focus.its learnt to humble.moreover it gently ushers in beautiful remorseful Sunday where people get to their knees, camouflaging their iniquities in between modesty and attending church service.

Warnings at times can never serve human beings any better ,unless it's follows a experience, better still if its personal experience.
The sentiments look judgmental and attacking ,but seemingly, that's how things are apparently in Moi University.Of course no exemption of all those places we have human beings.
during the past two Moi University Students Organisation(MUSO) elections, chaos have been commonplace. At least a student has lost crucial part of their bodies.last year for instance saw a supporter of Cheserem lose an eye unwillingly-of course.unlike in The scriptures where Jesus requests us to plug body parts that make us sin. the lad lost the eye while fighting opponents supporting Omondi-the current MUSO chair.Consequently, he dint do exams as he was hospitalized.
Another student had his spinal cord broken-just but a glimpse. Fortune knows, we might have yet another this year. Most contestant drain their pockets for goons even when signs are clear, they will not win. Tribal cut lines is the norm-at least now we have a lot of tribal 'kamkunji' taking place at night to psyche up for forthcoming May elections.
Student studies are always in jeopardy...diminishing class attendance ; C.A.Ts are untold of; pathetic performance summing to a nightmare for lectures who mark this messy work.
Imaginary promises appealing to ears is all we get. "Comrades power!" this 'divine' is enough to send us to a world of fantasy. Many don't get this insight during campaigns because they are overwhelmed by ethnicity and sentiments out of the heaviness of contestants pockets.its after elections have far past , when we face hurting and unpleasant state of affairs in MOI is when we know their fault.
Criticism rises; name calling takes over real names; unrealistic demands to student leaders even when the admin in four decades failed to achieve the same.
Although responsibility is require of any elected leader, perhaps even other leadership calibre, its only reasonable that we are not absorbed in this whole issue of MUSO politics.student leadership have come and left, you also have a chance of at most six years in campus.spare esteemed parents shock and shame of getting half children. I mean lesser person, maybe brain wise-you did concentrate in you studies, or even less body- you might have lost an arm

WHY MOI UNIVERSITY NEEDS PARENT LECTURERS.
The corpse
understands quite well matters of the the grave; the wearer of the shoe knows exactly where it pinches , it's implications and suffers the pain of the wound; and yet still only a parent knows at least
what their children need.
The fore-mentioned
groups give research insights about their areas more than anyone else
can do .As much as MU possesses high intellectuals in academia, it also much needs
high tech parent lecturers. This means that they are multipurpose-serve both as
knowledge wells and guardians.
The naivety
at which newly admitted students find themselves in situations implies a lot. Actually,
most students find themselves in totally new environment and adaption beheads them.
They have to camouflage with situations quick enough to survive.
Meanwhile,
they meet quacks who introduce them to new worlds which can be good or
bad depending with the person.
At least
these persons influence one’s life and most likely determine direction they will take while in campus. This is why some and probably many
students learn at initial days to use drugs and optimally at 3rd
year they are addicts despite drug vindication by some.
not unless
this lecture whom nature as bestowed us under them take the initiative
advisedly us on life, then most of us will kill ourselves young with pleasure.
It takes a little concern of this distinguished lectures to take parent
responsibilities advising us amid lessons, allow us share with them what we
feel, pass through including asking questions.
For this to succeed,
a serene atmosphere they need to create. Just doing these can save a student
soul afraid of visiting counselling office yet under pressure of drugs and
depressed of heartbreaking relationships.
At times we
need most mental therapies,in which in surety you partake than the knowledge we are bombard with in lecture halls; when we are even almost collapsing of campus pressures. MU, we will appreciate
more if you balance you academic time against social life with our lectures in
classrooms; because the future is not worth if we die early with the knowledge you
give us
SECURITY MEN ALERT AFTER RECENT INSECURITY CASES AT MOI UNIVERSITY

It is worth commenting that security in Moi University has improved recently. Yesterday’s case in hostel k quite stipulates ho w students’ reaction after charity’s assault had bore fruits.
Security on duty moved
swiftly to action immediately the second scream was heard from hostel K. Two ladies
had screamed their hearts out at 2 Pm after a threat from a man who forcefully
entered the room. The lad had impersonated a ladies voice convincing the girls
to open the door. This man had then pushed the door when one of the girls realized
it was a guy and wanted to shut the door before him. What followed was demand of
sexual favor from them and threatened to stab them if they dared shouting.
Unfortunately, the
brave girls dared him and screamed over the window for help. Consequently,
other students who heard of this swung into comrades power by shouting. Some approached
the room only to meet watchmen who had already salvaged the situation. He was then
served several slaps, more kicks and generous sets of punches. The insults were
uncountable, including the unmentioned ones. He was then taken to administration
building and forwarded to Kesses police station in cases today morning.
The man alleges he was under the influence of drugs.
Security men and the administration
at large is behaving its authority. They are back from slumber land Kudos. That’s
needed of you!!!!!!

MOI IS RICH

Maize plantation in Moi university |

Aug,17, 2014 MU graduation ceremony in main campus |
Moi University is richer than you may imagine. This isn’t disputable depending on your culture. Wealth from where I come from is looked at in terms of number of cattle, your household (wives, children and workers) extent of the land you own. The larger the numbers the more respect you given as a man and the more likely you secure leadership position in the community. At least, MU posses this
We are also endorsed with vast hectare of land which till today, considerable large portion has not been utilized. The fact that this land is being put to farming benefits isn’t overlooked. At least the land near the dispensary was converted into a wheat plantation last year. Moreover it has been prepared to await start of rain down pour to resume plantation.
The beautiful waterfall, an entertainment nature point is bestowed for us-although it’s proven a death invitation point sadly reducing our wealth. This has been backed up with Kesses dam and Ngeria forest which are at a neighbourhood.
The list is long; the valuable manpower generated out of here that sway the job market. All gratitude goes to well gifted, selfless lectures .Several planes flying locally and internationally; a number of industries including Rivatex textile industry and Moi press;
It’s even perfecting the media industry by adding Kenya
Television Service (KTS) to back up Moi University station all located at main campus.
Going
internationally, the university lately stroke a deal with Israel agency to
introduce horticulture at Ngeria. This is perfect for a body that desires
progress. What more to desire from it? Slant focus towards student affairs …because anyway they are the reason the institution was established for..otherwise they will always pose as stumbling block for administrators peace: stabilise academic calendar, create peaceful environment worth living and learning; respond to their complaints earnestly trying to solve if not answering….this will prove your service to them

THE STATE OF HYGIENE IN OUR HOSTELS
I had a rough time trying to access washrooms yesterday morning. This is because the kitchen had flooded due to cloaking of drainage system.dirty water had overflown the place to corridor and finally to rooms. It was devastating stepping ,sleeping with ugly face of water in the room.
Getting out at night to release your self was hell.trying to get rid of the water was a nightmare..you needed to unblock the water exit which equally was tedious. Patience and suffering called in till the cleaners came on board at 9 am who emptied the mess. The state of hygiene in this campus is comprising.Talk of messy washrooms which are just but a threat to health.you can easily get contagious infections.
Dust bins overflow with dirt, inviting fruit flies and rodents.talk of the extensive numbers of cock roaches in rooms. In fact, their population override count of people in moi community. i wish their was a place this creatures were traded...i mean moi could be the richest University in Kenya, probably in the world...it could not need any financial extension from outside rather it could be a donor!
At times you lose appetite as you fetch water from taps. the colour is not appealing both to the stomach and eyes.water normally is colourless according to the science I ever learnt;unfortunately you get it coloured brown.
We thank God that a midst all this, rare cases of cholera outbreak have been realised.Although ,there are those of us who have been victims of typhoid

students outside hostel G Yesterday following a blackout |
Why me means that it should have been somebody else to suffer even when we have no control of it. Anyway, questioning nature we do, not by choice –
we are tempted.
Living in hostels G ,
C ,F and E takes desperation .You don’t yearn residing in darkness condemnation while trying
to escape hard life of the “Diaspora”. I
will book a better hostel next semester; this is always the consolation guys here
have.
Unfortunately, getting used to problems can make one resistant.
Better still if you camouflage and thereafter find contentment.
Lads here prepare supper by 6 pm just in case power gets off
and comes back past midnight. Often are
the times- while in Hostel E- I found
myself at 5 am on bed, in case I missed out cooking early. This is because I tried waiting
for power and sleep overtook me only to be awoke by the cold morning breeze.
You can only study away from your room in case of an evening preps.
Thanks to open lecture halls at night and MTL. Cooking multiple meals at once
is commonplace. Eating cold food is normal and apparently sleeping with empty
stomachs usual.
At least here you learn virtues
of selfless living. As comrades in other hostels enjoy all joy brought by electricity
presence, you just watch over the window. It is n’t that they probably paid much
more fees than you did. It is that you sacrifice to lack as they get. Electricity is
not enough for all at once in Moi!!!

TENSION AT GOSHENIC ESTATE AS FEMALE STUDENT GOES MISSING
A pregnant third year student in school of social and physical sciences goes on the search yesternight after disappearing.
The lady messaged a friend whom she shares the rental room with. Suggestively indicating that something weird might have happened to her. The lady had been impregnated by a forth yea student in school of education and was currently in attachment.
The friend had left early in the day for classes which guaranteed a n evening return. This note came midday claiming that the victim was tired of was to talk a “better “course for her life .the message read “am done dia. what is the essence of leaving in pain when the core source isn't helping bear it. My parents have rejected me because am pregnant. They dared not give me any support. This is the eve of my delivery. Worst of all, the man responsible of my pregnancy has denied me. He is nowhere. He has called me declaring non attachment with. That the pregnancy is not his after promising me he will there for me. Am gone dia. My life is over. "Bubye."
The search for her took all day and night long. This all was
in vain. The school authority had been noticed of the same who availed
themselves at the estate. The door was closed.
Neighbors report of the man’s presence on a Tuesday morning.
The two apparently had spent happy moments washing clothes together at the
estate.
We pray that she didn't mean to die. That it was just but a threat. That she is found alive .and that her future will be worth living. We already have much to bear in Moi environment!!

WOUNDED LIONS ATTACK
Moi university administrators face a rough time trying to calm the situation as students react over the death of a comrade
The vice chancellor issues an internal memo; which calls for
a meeting on a Monday morning .students pre-empted the meeting as voices of
comrades called for attention and attendance of most students.
A series of events follows as students merge to
administration calling to be addressed. Voices of “comrades’ power” echoed the
air. The administration faced it tough as students merged towards the building
demanding whereabouts of Kairo-a vibrant student leader aspirant.
Professor Ongechi is confronted with jeers and shouts
alleging irresponsibility on his part. This IS after the flags were half raised
to owner death of Charity Maina the centre of chaos.”I am depressed by the
untimely and premature death of our students”. The vice chancellor managed to
say these words before being shut, a halt that ended the speech.
Students then took off towards stage demonstrating .not long
time elapsed before they rioted stage business. Looting amid destruction of
property followed. These aroused fury among the villagers who have sleeping
lions. These people have always been wounded whenever students strike,
demonstrated or rioted. Property loss has been commonplace.
Previously, students had forced the police car to head to
student centre after the news of the demise struck the air. The vehicle had
picked the body and students had forced it demanding a school bus. This was to
show sign of solidarity through escorting the student to mortuary.
Failure of their demand had bore bitter fruits: The police
car was turned down; flames saw themselves high in the air. Smoke of burned
vegetation and vehicle colonised the environments. Meanwhile, police had fired
bullets .Students were pulling down structures at the gate. These ignited more
fire as students swore to continue rioting at their realisation of live bullets
directed to the tear gas which made them cry involuntary.

THE SEARCH FOR MORALITY
I CANT FIND IT HERE PLEASE HELP ME TRACE!
Beastly has
grown out of people; in humane behaviors is gently being cultivated and slowly
flourishing in some people’s hearts which are degrading from flesh to stone.
Great men
are mourning the burial and eternal death of their wise sentiments the later
generations are burying in unknown mass graves without copyright legation.
Surely, being a brother’s keep has proven hard contemplating than going hell.
Anyone who has hospitality; or forgiveness; or goodness somewhere along the
highways, pathways corridors?. Get a clue of these incidences and judge insanity,
morality…you are allowed to bind, condemn the latter to eternal destruction and hell.
Ø A guy invites a lady to his room in
Hostel H: proceeds to prepare a meal for the visitor. ok...This should be nice of him..add some drugs to "flavor
"it sending unconscious…Guess what follows. Rape.
The girl wakes to shock …she is bleeding …what a trauma!. This is the hospitality She is offered.
Ø It is a fine blessed Sunday for a
friend in D houses who wakes early to prepare for service. It is 7am and
service is almost has commenced. She then hurries over the houses only to turn
back and realize a man hurriedly following her. Close look at him makes start
of a chase. She had to scream calling for help. Goodness brings a boy who then
after seeing him the culprit vanishes over a fence. This is a daylight mark
you.
Ø A first year student at hostel G
stabs a third year in a love triangle over allegations of snatching a girl
friend.
Ø Another rape incidence is witnessed
in Ngeria in which a lady in the school of arts and social sciences suffers a great deal. This is early last
week.
Ø To crown it all, The demise that
befell us during the weekend. Am short of words on this…this one went on air
nationally and internationally…
Are we safe on earth anyway? Apparently, am falling short of trust amidst the growing
fear and fear. Am not alone friends. I know I am with you. Is there a safe place on earth?. Home. May is
not. These are dark ages .Where no safety is guaranteed at any time, company, place
and the sought.

I LONG FOR THIS DAY
Life on Saturday in MOI
I can see some of my follower nodding at this…Saturday is the most longed for day of the week…you
know why for you who conquer….and by the way which day do you really yearn for in during week?
For my case,
it’s the day you wake up late while trying to offload sleep hangovers of the early
rising-wee days. At this day, thorough cleaning and personal grooming
intensify. time You can now take unusual longer time breakfasting. Moreover, you
have chances of making full meals rather to compensate junk food and light
snacks you swallowed at weekdays just to quench hunger
At least you can pay tribute to “mabs”
shopping for groceries and adding up your closet…. Me “Its time you visit mabs
because its outgrowing its capacity…you may not believe it till you get there….”message
on a light note for those dread going there. On Saturday, you can accompany
friend(s) or visitors who came over to spend a weekend to celebrate nature’s
goodness. Additionally, you can have can have time paying visits to lost
friends.
It time to
check your closet for long not worn fittings unsuitable for official and
serious place as lecture halls presentations and church services on Sunday for
some. Casuals apply mostly. Half-clothes at most cases are preferred. This
includes t-shirts, tights, shots, stockings, track suits and what a few. More
aeration of the feet for men.
At times,
you get ample time doing assignments and read for cats in relaxed environments.
Looking for and watching movies are frequent.
For the
religious, it’s a forum going to bush and prayer mountains for extensive and
vehement prayers. For More fellowships
and meeting for this day.
It’s a healing , nursing time for the
strenuous week. At least you spent worrying less time eating what saved at the course
of the week at f2, meanwhile while out of academic square.

MTL Entrance Moi University |
How
do you segment your calendar?
Actually, academics are the only path that transits
a student to campus. For other people making the campus community, it
incorporates business, work and “easy to riches affairs”-theft. Different
categories of students here come in mind; the undergraduate-who are the
monopoly, and the post graduate encompassing masters and PhD students.
Comrades time as the semester proceeds is sectioned
unconsciously among themselves following
a certain common pattern .For most
actually, the first initial three week
of the semester cater for arrival settling and nursing hang -over of the
holiday in case the semester came after a vacation.
It
is a crucial time to run for “the dear” green forms after taking thoughtfully,
a strenuous moment trying to secure a room using the on line hostel booking system.
This of course encompassed websites flooding with many people trying to log in
at once making it “hang” followed with its implications...
Thereafter one transfers his/her belongings
to their rooms sure enough, after getting a place to lay your head after the
busy days of the semester commence. Hereafter, one thinks of checking for
updates preferably timetables on respective school notice boards.
For the serious academicians classes are
attended from the second week. The 3rd and 4th week for easy and
slow goers who could want to take their time in campus- “a free society” for
them
Assignment and CATS start on the 4th
week. Students start dripping into MTL, computer labs and wi-fi
hotspots to research. Meanwhile, there are these schemers intelligent enough
not to strain .They are ’smart’ in using their brains. These group visit
computer labs looking for saved files for assignments done by others to copy, even
worse delete afterwards. Woe unto the early risers. Genuine schemers sweet talk
others for them to be allowed to duplicate.
open air market at mabs on saturday |
Apparently , the academic way is very busy.
Bags carrying books and hand outs are the greatest treasure at this time. The destinations
here are limited; library (key), rooms and lecture halls. Hoofers, screens and
movies in laptops go hibernating. Discussion groups are crucial. Academic based
friendships grow best for serious guys. Most relationships frail here because time
for dilly- dallies affairs for partners have been robbed by exam fever-no time
to cook for “husbands” and walk over.
Moreover many have run Bankrupt .ATM cards
are put far and maybe even passwords forgotten; accounts are reading below Sh
